  1. What singles out this series from the rest is that it homes in on the sheer intensity and ugliness of war.

I hope to see the community surprised by the shockingly high production values which its single player holds. That being said however, the multiplayer game of Call of Duty: Finest Hour is practically a throw away. The game modes are generic, communication poorly chosen, and fun level is shockingly low.

The shoddy A.I. and other flaws are rare or negligible enough so as not to detract from the overall enjoyment of an otherwise great game. [Jan 2005, p.89]
  4. The weapons look good and are nicely designed.
  5. A WWII game with nice moments and a good storyline; but as a game it fails on a number of points and its distinct lack of innovation makes it hard to recommend to anyone but fans of the genre.

First and foremost, the amount of shots it can take to kill your enemies is absurd. It's so inconsistent that not even a headshot will always drop your enemies, and I have a HUGE problem with that.
  7. While offering a well-scripted narrative, comes up with precious few reasons to play out these battles again. No surprises here -- just solid, albeit predictable, action that could have been better.

This game is almost perfect. I really think that the Graphics really could be alot better than they are. Altho the Graphics are outstanding. and the the Cut scene graphics are an 11 out of 10. some Combat Graphics could have been a bit better. Overall I would have given this game a 9.9 outta 10. It is just a great game. This is the Best WWII game out on the market. Expand

Me and my nephew played this straight thru as it was a challenge. The gameplay keeps you on your seat and unlike the just released Call of Me and my nephew played this straight thru as it was a challenge. The gameplay keeps you on your seat and unlike the just released Call of Duty 2 the A.I doesnt suck. You dont have squad members taking up all your fire like the sequel so to survive and beat the damn thing you have to hug every corner and attempt assualts from different paths. Buy this, rent the sequel. Expand

It's an average FPS but it's fun.

Now to talk about some things. Some retards especially. OH BOY. To start the game theorists making a retarded video claiming "Game Theory: Wii U is the new Virtual Boy" calling it "Virtual Boy 2.0" and claiming it's a "dark mark" on Nintendo's history. No it isn't a dark mark, mainly because it doesn't matter. Secondly history just didn't repeat or had repeated itself and Nintendo has learned from its mistakes, lastly the Wii U didn't give anybody seizures therefore didn't make the "same mistakes" and that's a fact you retards. Secondly some retard named WULLF DEN claimed that the N64's controller was/is "finally fixed" and that the "N64's old and outdated controller finally has a modern update". No you retard, it's changed, not updated, it's not an "old" or "outdated" controller either. It is perfectly fine as is and works perfectly well as it was intended to. Finally it wasn't "fixed" you retard, it functioned perfectly as it was intended to. these are facts, learn it. Two more retards now. Some braindead retard named RTG 85 claimed that for Square Enix "Square Enix seemed like it was doing pretty good recently but the last few days have been/are very telling." To start, no retard, they still are doing pretty well and are pretty good currently, the last few haven't been and aren't very telling or telling at all, but it is very telling that you are retarded and wrong. These are all facts that I have stated. Secondly the retard claimed "Square Enix seems like Blizzard right now and doesn't know what to do." No, Square Enix seems like Square Enix right now and does know what to do unlike Blizzard who foolishly announced Diablo Immortal, FFXV's director's departure was an unforeseen issue was all, and they still have made far more money than they lost, more than a billion yen or U.S. dollars. These things I have stated are all facts as well RTG 85 you retard inbred, if you don't like it than don't be retarded in the future. Finally there was the biggest retard and blowjobber of them all, some non sentient retard on youtube referred to as Dean Weiss. He is unbelievably retarded and hypocritical. To start, the retard makes a factually retarded claim through lousy retarded clickbait videos like "Meet Square Enix's only competent director.", a statement that is factually wrong since all of Square Enix's directors are more than competent and that's a fact. Argue it all you like, you are still wrong, Dean Weiss is just a sad little irrelevant retard who attempts to act all smart because he is insecure about his irrelevance and doesn't know what else to do to have attention because he's a retard who has no talent, unlike every Square Enix director since all of them DO have talent and factually ARE competent, they do what they intended and succeed in it. More like "Meet all of Square Enix's directors since all of them are only more than competent." That's an actually accurate name for it. The retard Dean Weiss attempted to claim Tetsuya Nomura was the "only competent director" where if the retard actually played the rest of Square Enix's games and actually understood what critique is he would know that Tetsuya Nomura isn't the "only competent director" and the rest of the directors of Square Enix's games are highly talented as well. Square Enix is a factually good company despite the occasional issues they have and that's fact. They have always learned as a result of them. The excellent and more than competent directors of Square Enix includes highly talented individuals like Yoshinori Kitase for masterpieces like Chrono Trigger, FFVI FFVII and FFX, Chihiro Fujioka for the masterpiece that is Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars and more recently Hajime Tabata for past directors though Hajime Tabata for FFXV was a more than competent director who despite the issues it had in development managed to still make FFXV a pretty great game factually, and the more than competent directors who currently work there include Kensuke Nakahara for masterpieces like Bravely Default and Bravely Second, Keisuke Miyauchi for the masterpiece that is Octopath Traveler and finally, Takeshi Uchikawa for the masterpiece that is Dragon Quest 11 as well as everybody else who directed and made the Dragon Quest series. These are all more than competent directors and highly talented individuals and everything I have stated in the review here is fact. Verifiable fact. Don't like it? Don't be wrong then.

Activision should just make PS2 games- they haven't got what it takes to play in the big league- I can't believe I almost bought this over Ghost Recon 2. Renting it was just as bad. Lame PS2 graphics, absolutely no thrills while playing it- even the awesome Stalingrad level has been stripped of any excitement whatsoever. Very poor- even for a PS2 release. Garbage on an xbox. This game rocked on the MAC by the way. Expand
