There's so much to love about Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. From the beautiful visuals to the variety in combat and movement, there are so many reasons to give it a try.

Borderlands 2 was always a phenomenal game, but having the option to play through the entire VR game with plenty of customisation to help with motion sickness helps out a lot.

Legacy of the First Blade is a mostly underwhelming first DLC that has some interesting story information for long term fans of the Assassin's Creed series.

The roguelike elements make this a perfect fit to portable pickup and play with a very lenient save system.

The Missing’s story is one that everyone needs to experience. It is personal and very unique. A lot of the game looks great even in handheld mode but this could definitely have used a bit more time for the Switch version. It has a bit too many issues on Switch. If you haven’t played this and want to, look at the other platforms because in its current state, the performance issues and other annoyances make this a lesser version of a great game.

If you’ve not yet played Guacamelee! 2 on PS4, it’s an utter necessity to pick this up on the Switch. It plays so well, and the splendid mix of smooth gameplay, lovely art style, and everything in between make this a definite purchase.

Playing on the Switch allows you to appreciate the game’s elegance whilst on the move, and playing ABZÛ on public transport can seriously chill you out and bring a wonderful calm to a busy day. It plays excellently, with no lag or compromises as far as the visuals go, and having headphones in is the best way to experience the catharsis of such a noteworthy game.

As an audio and visual package, Gris is stunning. However some missteps in gameplay prevent it from being something special.

A unique, good-looking, intense experience that's more than worthy of existing in the same genre as an illustrious classic like XCOM.

I won’t disparage what GODS is and always was, which is quite simply one of the greatest of its time - but that denomination of era is crucially important here. Because judged up against its contemporaries, the original was a powerhouse - but there’s simply no real place for it in 2018.

Katamari Damacy REROLL is a fantastic experience for people who have never experienced the game before but it is a pretty barebones port on PC.

With its extreme weather scenarios and the familiar, over-the-top usage of Rico’s grapple gun, wingsuit and parachute, Just Cause 4 is the most ridiculous and best it has ever been.

Mixing Sonic-style platforming with Trials-esque, inertia-driven gameplay, Steel Rats is a bold and often fun concept, but some awkward level design holds it back from matching the quality of its inspiration.

Windjammers is something I never thought I wanted until I played it. Having spent a decent amount of time on it across PS4 and Vita, I’m glad to have yet another indie I played often available on the Switch through such a great port.

Having spent a good amount of time across other collections on the system and even Nintendo’s NES Online app, this is easily the worst collection of older games on the Switch in terms of overall feel. While it has loads of games for the asking price, I would rather spend more and buy quality releases piecemeal or buy another collection for the Switch where there is a lot more to the release than just old roms with a few extras.

Nintendo Switch certainly doesn’t have an abundance of first person shooters, and so Battlezone Gold Edition fills a definite gap in the catalogue, and its super-fast pace and simple premise will appeal to those who like to jump on and kill ten minutes in handheld mode.

It almost feels like Horizon Chase did to Out Run what Octopath Traveler did to 16 bit era JRPGs when it comes to feel and visuals. If you need something to satiate your old school racing desire before Out Run shows up next year, get this. It is a must play title.

If you can re-frame Fallout 76 as a survival crafting game in the Fallout universe rather than viewing it as the next instalment in the series then you will have a better time. It is not without its faults, but there is a base there that has the potential to be improved upon as time goes by.
